TERMS & CONDITIONS

Terms and Conditions

These terms govern every order placed with KORTE.Healthcare, from quote to delivery — pricing, delivery, warranty and your rights as a customer.

01

General provisions and applicability

These General Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all orders and agreements for the sale of scrub sinks, scrub stations and related solid-surface products (“Products”) sold under the KORTE for Healthcare brand, operated by a company registered in the Republic of Latvia (“KORTE”, “we”, “us”).

By placing an order — through this website, by email or in writing — you (“Customer”) accept these Terms in full. They apply to consumer and business (B2B) customers alike, except where a clause is expressly limited to one or the other.

02

Subject of the agreement

KORTE manufactures scrub sinks and scrub stations to measure, in solid surface material, based on the station count, controls, finish and dimensions confirmed with the Customer at the specification stage. The exact scope of each order — series, number of stations, controls, accessories and dimensions — is set out in the quote or order confirmation.

All images are for illustrative purposes only. Actual dimensions and configuration are confirmed on quote.

Minor variations in colour, pattern or surface texture between the images shown and the delivered Product are inherent to solid surface material and do not constitute a defect.

03

Order and conclusion of the agreement

A binding agreement is formed once KORTE issues a written order confirmation following the Customer’s approval of the final specification (and drawing, where applicable) — not at the moment an enquiry or quote request is submitted.

Because Products are manufactured to order, the Customer is responsible for checking that the confirmed specification (dimensions, station count, controls, finish) matches their site and requirements before signing off.

04

Pricing and payment terms

Prices are quoted in the currency stated on the offer and are valid for the period stated in the quote. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment terms are as set out in the order confirmation (typically a deposit on order confirmation and the balance before dispatch).

KORTE reserves the right to withhold production or dispatch until payment due under the agreement has been received.

05

Packaging and delivery costs

Products are crated with edge and corner protection suited to solid surface goods and shipped with tracked freight across Europe. Delivery cost and estimated lead time are confirmed against the delivery address and order size before the order is placed, and are stated in the order confirmation.

As Products are made to measure, the indicative lead time is confirmed once the specification is signed off — see our Shipping & Delivery page for the general process.

06

Transfer of risk

Risk of loss or damage to the Product passes to the Customer on delivery to the address confirmed in the order — specifically, at the point the courier hands the goods to the Customer or their nominated representative at the delivery address.

The Customer must inspect the Product in the presence of the courier and note any visible transit damage on the delivery documents at that time (see Complaint Handling Procedure below).

07

Exclusion of the right of withdrawal

Because every scrub sink and scrub station is manufactured to the Customer’s specification (station count, controls, dimensions and finish), Products ordered under these Terms are goods “made to the consumer’s specifications” and are not subject to the standard 14-day right of withdrawal available for off-the-shelf consumer goods.

Cancellation after specification sign-off may only be accepted at KORTE’s discretion and may be subject to a charge covering materials and work already committed.

08

Warranty

KORTE provides a 24-month limited warranty from the dispatch date against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, under normal use and maintenance in a healthcare or commercial setting.

Warranty claims must be reported promptly with photographic or video evidence of the fault and, where the claim concerns transit damage, the delivery documents noted at handover (see Transfer of Risk). The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, unauthorised modification, improper installation, or normal wear.

Minor deviations in colour, pattern or surface texture inherent to solid surface material are not covered as defects (see Subject of the Agreement).

09

Goods for which KORTE retains ownership rights

Ownership of the Product remains with KORTE until the Customer has paid the full purchase price in accordance with the agreed payment terms. Until that time, the Customer must take reasonable care of the Product and may not pledge, resell as their own, or allow third parties to assert rights over it without KORTE’s written consent.

Business (B2B) Customers must notify KORTE promptly in writing if a third party (e.g. a creditor or bailiff) attempts to seize or assert rights over a Product still owned by KORTE.

10

Complaint handling procedure

Complaints regarding delivery, quality or warranty should be sent to [email protected] or by phone at +371 29203040, with your order reference, a description of the issue and supporting photos.

We aim to acknowledge complaints within a few working days and to propose a resolution — repair, replacement or another remedy — appropriate to the issue and the warranty terms above.

11

Dispute resolution jurisdiction and applicable law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. Any dispute arising from an order or agreement under these Terms that cannot be resolved directly between the parties will be submitted to the competent courts of Latvia.

Consumers resident in the European Union may also be entitled to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform or their local consumer protection body.

12

Miscellaneous provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force, and the invalid provision will be replaced with one that most closely reflects its original intent.

KORTE may update these Terms from time to time; the version in effect at the time an order is confirmed applies to that order. The current version is always available on this page.
